My Story

Hello and thanks for visiting my website. 

I’m Sonia Maud. 

Just wanted to introduce myself. 

I have been running Sonia Maud Beauty Room since 1994 – so I’m celebrating my 30th anniversary now! (Crikey. Where have those 30 years gone?).

My passion for beauty therapy started in my teens. I did originally want to do make-up artistry but was told I’d have to do hairdressing but I was never interested in hairdressing. 

Instead, I found a love for beauty therapy and in 1991 I started my training at a local college where I gained relevant qualifications offered by the International Aestheticiennes Training Academy.  

The biggest enjoyment I get from my business is the interaction with my clients which I love and the fact that I can help clients to feel better about themselves by providing them with a variety of healthy and relaxing treatments. 

My clients are primarily women from their twenties up to their eighties. Occasionally, we do get the odd man wanting a treatment, but invariably it’s women that I work with. 

I do provide a mobile beauty therapy service to those clients that want it. However, I am currently having a new treatment room built at my home which I’m really excited about and which will provide a much bigger space for clients to enjoy the full range of treatments. I’ll be posting an update on the new treatment room once it’s been built and decorated.
